MTCS Certification Standards & Assurance
As an internationally PEFC-endorsed scheme, MTCS certification is issued by independent certification bodies (CBs) accredited by Standards Malaysia. Certification is granted only after a successful audit.
There are two main types of MTCS certificates:
Forest Management Certificate
Awarded to Forest Management Units (FMUs) that meet sustainable forest management criteria.
Chain of Custody Certificate
Given to timber manufacturers or exporters that meet PEFC’s chain of custody requirements.
